GAME RECAP
Ayr United vs. Partick Thistle
The Jags fell just short at Somerset Park, narrowly losing 2–1 to Ayr United in the William Hill Championship.
The match kicked off in an electric atmosphere, with Ayr taking the lead early in the 18th minute with George Oakley header. Despite creating a few decent chances, the Jags found themselves two-nil down by the 35th minute when Oakley struck again.
Thistle came out fighting in the second half, making tactical substitutions to change the flow of the game. Their graft paid off late, with Harry Milne pulling one back in the 85th minute to spark hopes of a comeback.
The Jags pushed forward in the dying minutes but couldn’t find an equalizer before the final whistle.
The focus now shifts to the next match as the Jags look to bounce back stronger.

Iconic Strips of the Week
Kit of the Week: 2020–21 Home Kit
This week, we're shining a light on a proper iconic strip in Jags history: the 2020–21 Home Kit, with its bold red-and-yellow hoops matched with black shorts.
This kit will forever be mind-blowing for the win over Falkirk on April 29, 2021 - a 5-0 success that secured our bounce back to the Championship at the first time of asking.
It stands for everything we fought for that season - grit and spirit as we battled our way back to where we belong.
From Brian Graham's masterclass to Scott Tiffoney’s double, this game was more than just three points - it was a proper statement from the club and had every Thistle faithful crying with joy.
The strip became a symbol of one of our finest hours, and you can still spot plenty of these beauties around Maryhill on match days.
