DUNFERMLINE ATHLETIC
Next Up: Dunfermline Athletic vs Partick Thistle
Saturday 27 September | KDM Group East End Park | 3:00 PM
The Jags are back on the road this weekend as Mark Wilson’s side travel to Fife for a crucial William Hill Scottish Championship clash against Dunfermline Athletic.
With both sides eager to climb higher in the table, this fixture promises to be another fiercely contested meeting between two teams who know each other well. The Red and Yellow Army will no doubt once again be out in force, looking to spur Thistle on to another positive result away from home.
East End Park has seen some memorable Jags moments in recent years, and Wilson’s men will be aiming to add to that record with another strong showing. The margins are always fine in these encounters, but Thistle head into the match with belief and the hunger to keep building on recent performances.
The Jags have fond memories of their trip to East End Park on Saturday 2nd November 2024, when a battling performance earned all three points with a 1-0 win.
After a cagey first half, it was Scott Robinson who produced the decisive moment just before the hour mark, turning home after Dan O’Reilly nodded down a Kyle Turner free-kick. The goal was enough to seal a 1–0 victory in front of over 5,000 supporters, sending the travelling Jags contingent, many of whom were in fancy dress, home delighted.
That win marked Thistle’s third straight triumph at the Fife ground and pushed the team into the Championship play-off spots during a strong run of form. It was another reminder that resilience and quality in the key moments can make all the difference — something the Jags will be looking to repeat this Saturday.

LEVI GILL
Levi Gill to Depart General Manager Position
Levi Gill has decided to step down from his position as General Manager of Partick Thistle Football Club.
Having joined the club in June 2024, he has played a significant role in building the foundations of the club’s governance process and strategic vision.
“On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Levi for his dedication to our club over the past 15 months,” club chairman Richard Beastall said.
“He has worked tirelessly to put Partick Thistle into a strong position for future growth. We understand his decision to move on, and wish him well in his future career.”
“I’ve greatly enjoyed the majority of my time at Partick Thistle and take real pride in the work we’ve done to put a clear strategic plan in place. Fan ownership has been a new experience for me and, while it brings its challenges, this club has all the natural advantages to push for promotion to the Premiership in the years ahead.
I’m grateful to the board and to all of those who have welcomed me to the club and taken the time to get to know me in my time here. Deciding to move on has not been easy but, after a personally challenging year, it feels the right moment to step aside and allow others to deliver on the exciting plans we’ve set for the future of this historic club.”

Club Fan Representative Director Alistair Gray returned to seats of learning this month to spread the word about supporting Partick Thistle to students who are new to the Glasgow area or have not yet realised what being part of The Jags family feels like.
Alistair attended Fresher Week events at Glasgow Caledonian Union and Glasgow Clyde College to invite students to become part of the Red and Yellow Army and he said: “I firmly believe that building connections with students can be a real winner for Partick Thistle. We kicked things off a year ago at Freshers Week 2024 and by March we had over 6,000 first time visitors coming to take in a game at The Wyre Stadium at Firhill.”

150TH
150th Anniversary Tales from Metz - ‘Partick Thistle - a People’s History’

As you’ll be aware, one of the many things planned for our anniversary year in 2026 will be a book commemorating the occasion.
Containing fan memories of first games, greatest heroes and family experiences, Partick Thistle A People’s History will be the story of the club as it has never been told before.
Alongside great photographs of memorabilia from fans and the club’s own archive, the book will span generations, from our oldest fans and players through to the present day and will include anecdotes from fans, players and other contributors.
What we’re looking for at the moment are your stories from Metz, when we played in the Intertoto Cup in 1995.
Were you there?
Do you have a tale to tell?
Even better, any photos?
Every contribution is welcome.
This could be shared through a written contribution or an interview that we could set up. This is a supporters’ book, made by the supporters, for the supporters.
One Club for all.
If you’d like to contribute in an way, or have any questions or suggestions, please get in touch at [email protected]

TJF
The Jags Foundation Pin Badges

All twenty-four of The Jags Foundation's exclusive pin badges to date have been based on original classic photographs, and badge twenty-five is no exception.
Lined up for posterity in this Sunday Post pic from the mid-70s are three pairs of Jaggy brothers: Frank & Jim Melrose, Tony & Ronnie Glavin, and John & Alan Hansen.
One of these pairs of red and yellow siblings will soon be immortalised as the stars of TJF’s next pin.
But which pair?
If we tell you that the pin will be launched to coincide with the anniversary of Thistle’s League Cup triumph on October 23 1971, that ought to give you a bit of a clue.
Stay tuned for more info.
