RAITH ROVERS
NEXT UP: RAITH ROVERS AT FIRHILL
Partick Thistle vs Raith Rovers | Saturday 20th December | 3:00 PM
Scottish Championship
The Jags are straight back into William Hill Championship action this weekend as Raith Rovers make the trip to the Wyre Stadium at Firhill.
Mark Wilson’s side come into Saturday’s fixture on the back of a hard-earned 2–1 victory away to Cove Rangers in the KDM Evolution Trophy in midweek — another example of the resilience, depth, and attacking quality that’s been a hallmark of this Thistle side all season.
That win in Aberdeen saw Thistle come from behind, with Kyle Turner curling home a superb equaliser before Alex Samuel continued his fine scoring run to seal the victory. With rotation across the squad and several players stepping up impressively, the momentum continues to build as December rolls on.
Now, the focus switches firmly back to the league — and a familiar, fiery opponent awaits.
A TOUGH TEST IN MARYHILL
Raith Rovers are always a competitive, well-organised side, and fixtures between these two rarely disappoint. The Kirkcaldy outfit will arrive at Firhill looking to disrupt Thistle’s rhythm, but the Jags will be confident in front of their own supporters.
With Aidan Fitzpatrick, Logan Chalmers, Tony Watt, and Alex Samuel all posing a threat in the final third — and the midfield looking to control games with intelligence and intensity — Thistle will look to impose themselves early and make Firhill count.
The belief is growing. The performances are backing it up. And under the lights in Maryhill, there’s another big opportunity to make a statement.
Championship football returns to Firhill — let’s make it count.
The last meeting with Raith Rovers came back in August, and it was a night to remember for the Red and Yellow Army.
Thistle claimed all three points with a thrilling 3–2 victory in an action-packed encounter at the Wyre Stadium at Firhill.
